I'm gonna start looking into it for the '85, but I'm nowhere near needing any right now...it's gonna be about 3-4 weeks before I start looking for any.
Can you test it? I think the summertime blend is "close" to 85%, but I'd damn sure test it before I had a tune built for it.

ya, an enthanol quality tester is around $15-$20. only problem is if you tune the car for e85 and winter comes around and they drop e70 in the tanks and you dont know it, its gonna jack the tune up. I just dont know if we get wintermix here or not.

I think all the pumps around here are blender pumps. They mix the Ethanol and gasoline right at the pump. I would think if they are selling it as "E85" at a blender pump, it better be E85 and not E70 since they already offer several different mix ratios at those stations.

Ive never heard of a blender pump. Since ethanol already bumps up the octane what kind of octane does the gas they are mixing with the ethanol have?

e85 is e99 mixed with 87 unleaded. i dont think they are blender pumps. my dad hauls fuel and when hes at the tank yard they pump in a gallon of e99 per every 10 gallons of unleaded for regular fuel. he said no truck leaves the yard with full e99, is all e10, e70, or e85.
since its summer im positive its e85. i supose the further my project comes along ill get a tester for winter.

Race only fuel. Texas Mandate all pump station unleaded is required to be e10 as of 2k9.

The toot-n-totems are blender pumps. I was at a luncheon where one of the big toots (can't think of his name) with toot-n-totem was talking about them explaining them to everybody.

Dirty bastards. What about those pumps on Nelson or whatever that say "No Ethanol in our gas"? Just BS liberal propaganda?

That's bullshit
Race Only fuel is the only fucking fuel that actually benefits being E85. That shit kills mileage like a mofo in street cars

True e85 kills mileage but when you figure price per mile the e85 is cheaper. IMO the only reason you should run e85 all the time is if your car requires race fuel all the time. Thats just my opinion. e85=poboy race fuel
